Join Team Pituitary in our annual trek to trek to the top of Wales, conquering Mount Snowdon at an elevation of 3,560ft.
The Snowdon trek in the heart of Snowdonia, North Wales comprises breathtaking, rugged scenery and rewarding trekking for those who take on this one day charity challenge! In the past few years this stunning trek has helped to raise over £100,000 for our charity. Now, as we feel the effects of Covid-19 and the financial implications it has had on our charity we really need people to support us at this event.
Join Team Pituitary in our annual trek to trek to the top of Wales, conquering Mount Snowdon at an elevation of 3,560ft.
This event will take the Llanberis path. As the path gradually rises you will be privy to amazing views down to Glaslyn far below. As you continue to zig zag up until reaching the monolith which opens up dramatic views as far as Anglesey; from here it’s just a short walk to the summit for photos before you will start the steady descent on the Llanberis Path.
Although this is the longest in distance, it is a gradual descent, so easy going underfoot after the strenuous climb up to the summit and you are even treated to the most stunning views as you wind our way down to Llanberis for the celebration drink!
If you would like to bring along supporters with you who do not have the physical ability to climb Snowdon then they can still join us at the summit for celebratory photos as the Snowdon trainline will be running and we will be walking parallel to the train track.
