Endocrine Specialist Nurse 

Type: 18 hours per week (flexible)

Location: Home, or based in our Bristol office, with occasional nationwide travel. 

Salary: £32,000 - £36,000 pro-rata

We are looking for an Endocrine Specialist Nurse, with experience predominantly in pituitary disease, to join our charity’s Patient and Family Services Team. You will be responsible for delivering our telephone Endocrine Nurse Helpline Service.  This post will be for 18 hours per week, with some flexibility and will include three or more Helpline sessions. 

The Nurse is the clinical lead amongst our staff team and is part of the organisation’s Medical Committee. The role also includes working closely with the Head of Patient and Family Services to provide medical information and guidance and contribute overall to the charity’s Patient and Family Support Services. 

Candidate requirements

  • Proven experience as an Endocrine Specialist Nurse predominantly in pituitary disease process/treatments and replacement hormone therapy. 
  • Minimum of three years’ post registration experience.
  • Warm, approachable telephone manner and experience of delivering support in this way.
  • Ability to work unsupervised and to make decisions.
  • Up-to-date NMC registration.
