Join our Board
We are looking to appoint a new Treasurer, and three new Trustees, from diverse backgrounds, with varied skills, perspectives and experiences, to join our Board to help us shape our charity’s future.
We are looking for individuals who will be committed to our values and share our vision that every person affected by a pituitary condition has a timely diagnosis and access to high quality treatment, information and support. Our new trustees will be able to think strategically and practically about the challenges and opportunities the organisation may face, whilst also providing leadership, scrutiny and support. Our new treasurer will also oversee all financial aspects of the charity.
The Board is particularly interested to hear from candidates from under-represented groups including: women, Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic (BAME) communities, disabled people and young people. In addition, we are looking to increase the Board’s coverage in the following skills areas:
- Medical (endocrinology and primary care)
- Policy and campaigning
- IT, digital and data
- PR and media
- Social enterprise
- Community engagement.
For our new treasurer we are looking for a qualified accountant and preferably an individual with experience of charity finance.
Strong empathy with the experiences of people affected by challenging health conditions is an essential requirement. Previous Board experience is not necessary, but an understanding of, or a willingness to train in, the principles of good governance in the charity sector is essential.
